The Quick Landscape tool is a simple Blender demo scene that you can customise to easily make little diorama/miniature 3D terrains. It relies on a basic plane mesh, and then every object is auto-placed and auto-coloured based on the height of the terrain's surface.
⚙️ Tested for Blender 4+
Here's a rundown of the tool's features:
- The terrain is a simple plane with a lot of subdivisions - and you can move its vertices up or down to create hills and valleys. (Don't forget to use the "Proportional Editing" mode if you want to smoothly move vertices along with their neighbours!)
- It also has a Geometry Nodes modifier slapped on to populate this surface with trees. This modifier has various options to change the tree density and repartition, the prefabs to use for the normal or snowy trees, etc.
- And finally, there's a Remesh modifier that you can toggle on or off to turn the surface into Minecraft-like voxels. Play around with the modifier's options to get more or less detailed cubish slopes :)
